Slaughtering the Wild Boar

Zen Master Shigo had his Satori -- his experience of the Absolute Dimension -- after slaughtering a wild boar. His enlightenment poem reads:

Yesterday the twisted heart of a demon;
today the glowing face of a Buddha.
No distinction is real.

I also have a poem for you:

listening to wind sing in the bamboo
it's as if the universe isn't yet 14 billion years old
