NIRVANA IS THE CESSATION OF TRYING TO HARM

Buddha taught a simple truth: you suffer, and you cause others to suffer, by indulging in angry, jealous thoughts that lead you to act badly. But nowhere in all this mass of sad karma is there ever "anyone to blame." There has never been anyone to blame, neither you nor some external "enemy." If the "external enemy" could help himself, he would. If you could help yourself, you would. If you saw how you are just causing more suffering, you would use all your strength and cunning to extricate yourself from dwelling on past wrongs and obsessively trying to to "even the score," putting an end to demonic, wild, greedy thoughts and entering the ease and bliss of Nirvana.

The Buddha is smiling, waiting for you on his mat in Jeta Grove. Sit down with him and enjoy the cool shade and refreshing breezes!
